Tamashii No Shinsei (魂の新生)

"Tamashii No Shinsei" was developed by Sensei Norman Beck of Zen Bu Kai Martial Arts.  The Japanese name translates to "New Birth of Spirit" in English.  It is generally the first non-traditional kata for students following the Karate-Do track in the Kosei-Ryu Bu-Jutsu training method.  It was named as such for two reasons.  The first reason being that the kata is a Shorin style kata.  The second reason is that a new spirit of studying and training will be developed at this level and the basic movements and concepts of the beginning techniques will begin to come alive within the student.

Note: To illustrate the traditional heritage of the techniques in the following kata; classical Japanese terminology has been used in the descriptions.
